Course Trouble...

Heya!

Haha! Met 2 lecturers today... one, an entomology expert, the other, a chemistry expert. And apparently, the chem expert (Dr Apple) doesn't seem too keen on me taking nanotech with my limited background knowledge in chemistry. He's like suggesting I take a pre-requisite to a core level 3 course lor. The catch is that the pre-requisite & the core are only offered in Semester 2, and since I can't take both at the same time (well, I can but he strongly discourages it), I would need 2 Semester 2's to do them, and to do 2 Semester 2's, I would require 2 years of udergraduate coursework instead of the original 1 half. School fees would still be the same though, but I need another half year of living expenses. How? Wah lau... then I would need like 3yrs to get a degree with honours lor. That's quite long.

So now I'm contemplating dropping Nanotech and taking another field as my other major. Why do I keep wanting a double major? Coz to get a major in Entomology, I would take 1.5yrs of undergraduate coursework due to the availability of certain core courses in different semesters. But I only need 8 units of entomology courses to get a major! So in 3 semesters, I am allowed to take like 24 units, why not study more in the same amount of time? Haha! Yeah... And since I drop nanotech, I'm thinking Parasitology? That's a close link to Entomology, no? And it's got some overlaps in the required courses for a major in that field. It's like killing 2 birds with 1 stone! Anyways, I'll just ponder upon that tonight & tomorrow. I will decide, latest by Sunday night.

K, enough abt sch. Went Toowong again, then went LHD's place. Took a sub to Brunswick, where Chinatown is. Haha! We just went to this shop & took lotsa new-flavoured instant noodles & whatever chinese groceries they wanted, then we left le. Wah, the shop even had durians lor! Like, whole unshelled durians, put together with the frozen packs of crabsticks, sotong balls, fishballs etc. Haha! Oh, and LHD said that ppl couldn't sell fermented beancurd in Australia (or in Queensland) or they'll be jailed! Haha! Reason? It's too smelly a delicacy to enjoy! Haha! Anyways, yeah, went to put all the grocery back in LHD's place, then quickly took the sub to Brisbane CBD again. Had KFC there (Singapore's KFC is surprisingly better tasting!) for dinner. $24.95 for 10pc chinken, 1 large MOS-burger-kind fries, 1 large pop-corn chinken sized box of potato mashies, an equivalent of 1.5 large coleslaw. Good deal eh? Haha! Yeah, well. Anyways, KFC here isn't finger lickin' good. They didn't dare print it on their packages. Haha! Yeah, so after that, we walked around some more, walk all the way to across the river, enjoyed the breeze, enjoyed the night market there, took CityCat back to LHD's place to take the groceries home. Ended up chatting till 11.05pm then quickly rushed to catch the 11.15pm bus home. Haha! So here I am, still pondering over my course. Hai...

They say love is hard to find. Not really, he learned today. It's just that people look in the wrong places. It's there all the time, where you can't see it... under your nose!
