The last less-than-a-day...
In less than 24h, they'd be on the plane, heading for home. That also means they're leaving us...
*sigh*
The melancholy feeling is already seeping in. So many songs keep on playing in my head, like an oldies jukebox... except there're chinese songs too. Well, not the whole song... just certain lines... So sad...
A couple of times I teared... tried to hold back... sometimes it works, sometimes it just streams. I can't help it... I really can't...

... and missing her didn't help either. The feelings are all mixed up... the heart aches so bad he doesn't know why he tears... It's like a 2-hit combo... only, it's not in a game...

Friday... 2nd day of sch. Haha!
Hello everybody!
Haha! Sorry ah, so long didn't update. Basically the past week passed by without much to mention. We went Gold Coast yesterday. Haha! Harbour Town, Australia Fair (which, by the way, sucked. Don't even consider going there if you're considering going there) and then to Pacific Fair. Thursday is late night suburbs! So Pacific Fair was open till like 9pm? Haha! But we didn't stay that long. Shuxian meeting her friend in Chinatown about 8+ so we left the place at 6.45pm. Got to Nerang Station and missed the train, and had to wait like 25min or so for the next one. Oops. By the time we met her friend in Chinatown, it was like 9.06pm le. Haha! So I took our shopping back... by train. Coincidentally, I met DL & George & Vivian! Haha! They just had dinner at some Korean BBQ... Well, at least I had some company till we reached Toowong. =) Bought Vivian the Bratz Pets piggy. Haha! So cute lor! I remembered we saw the advert together and we were like, "Eh the pig so cute!!!" Haha! And I was like I wanna get it. And she looked like she likes it alot too so I bought for her lor! Aren't I nice? Haha! Ok ok... don't puke. =P
Today I woke up late... shit. Suddenly jumped up from bed @ 10.17am. My lecture's at 10. So I rushed my wash-up and got ready by 10.28am. Got my cycling gear & everything, opened the balcony door... U know what is this face?

Ya... Why? It was raining... How to cycle to sch? In the end, I took a bus, reached my LT just when the lecturer was leaving & managed to grab the notes from him. And right after that was my prac liao. Today was supposed to dissect some cockroaches to find some parasites. Haha! I was quite excited by that... but it turned out that we were gonna dissect snails instead. Some more the snail so small la! Mmmm... lemme think...

Ok, the snail is about the size of a coarse sugar crystal... or maybe smaller. Yeah. So how to dissect, I was wondering... Well, it turned out to be really easy! Just use the forceps to crush it under the dissecting microscope. Haha! We were supposed to look for snail parasites... and we were supposed to be able to see wriggly things swimming out if an infected snail was crushed. Well, my partner & I, after crushing like 20 snails, didn't see anything at all. The last one had this wormy thingy in it though... but it turned out to be some insect larva. *pffft* Oh wells... that's sch for me.
Yay! Today got OCF!!! I kinda missed the fellowship with people like Debbie & Daniel & Tiffany etc. Of course, Louis & Mei & everyone else too... But Debbie Daniel & Tiffany were in my group mah, so naturally I'd mention them first. *grin* And there were new people today! There's this new girl from Norway, wow. She's pretty y'know? Her eyelashes were SO-O-O long! And she had a pretty face & all... haha! She's called Marianna (I think that's how u spell it). And I got to know these 2 Singaporean girls who just came too... Amy & Dawn. Amy's from Assembly of Christians! Opposite Freda's house that road that one... Haha!

Wednesday I decided to get my butt off the chair & peel my eyes from the laptop screen. I wanna run! Already procrastinated 2 days so I had to run. Left all my possessions with Shuxian coz she wanted to go city also mah. So I ran free, save for a 50c coin in my coin pocket in my Nike shorts. Ran all the way to city, which is approximately 4km, in about 20min? Yeah yeah, I know. It was a slow jog mah... Not 2.4km also. Anyways, I called Shuxian with the only coin I have, then she said Barry & her still home. So I said nvm lor, I'll wait at Hungry Jacks. Then she say Vivian & DL also coming, then I got cut off, dunno why also. We haven't say what time to meet & all... so I just imagined they'd be leaving immediately & it'd take Barry about 10min odd to get to the city. So I strolled over to Hungry Jacks & decided to sit & wait till they come. Wait wait wait... half an hour le, no sign of them! I started to borrow mobiles from ppl standing around... Well, whaddya know?! "Sorry mate, ran outta credits." "I haven't got a mobile man!" Sheesh... Just say I can't borrow ok? Don't have to spin funny stories lor. Anyways, I started to walk up & down Queen St Mall at 90min since my arrival at Hungry Jacks. I was intending to walk up & down 6times & if I can't find anyone to lend me their mobile, I'll run home. On the 5th time, this guy in an open-air restaurant kindly lent me his phone! Called Shuxian & guess what? They're at Hungry Jacks! Just reach only. Haha! 2h man... 2h... Amazing! Haha! Next time I run, I'll make sure to have some coins AND my mobile with me...
Ok... I'm done blogging. My arms are kinda tired... dunno why. Tmr morning I think I'll run again. Wondering where to run to. Hmm... *thinks*

Sch started...
Heya!
Yep, sch started yesterday. Had a 2h lecture. I think next time I need to bring sweets along... haha! And... yep, that's all! Next lecture's on Friday 10am, then after that practical. That's my timetable. Haha! What on earth am I studying hor? Hai...
Anyways, I missed my jogging today... Morning had a stomachache... then didn't feel comfortable enough to run so I gave it a miss. If tmr morning I can wake up & I feel ok then I'll run. Hmm... run to... to... I dunno. Wherever my feet takes me. *shrugs*
Cooked Emporer's Chinken today... Steamed for abt 3h... Haha! This time was better than the last time one. Yep! Nice & soft...

Graduation!
Today (k, yesterday, to be precise) was their graduation ceremony... Daphne, Vivian, Shuxian & Barry. And DG & Jasca too. Daph's was the earlier slot... 11am. So I reached sch near 10 so that she can take photos in her gown. Attended the ceremony, took some more photos, and waited to meet the IT peeps.
Damien bought Daphne flowers. And a teddy! Haha! Then I was thinking whether it'd be weird if I gave Shuxian flowers. Think think think... then I thought, whatever la. Everyone's gonna get something, she's my good friend, what can stop me from giving her something? But then the flowers at UQ Centre so weird... K, not weird la. Gerberas, yellow lilies, roses, honey suckle... I don't think there's much more variety. And these will be held by everyone! So boring... She likes bright happy colors (ain't that right?)... like the sunflower! I remembered seeing some growing somewhere before. No, not the giant sunflowers at the glasshouses. Those are long shrivelled. I couldn't place a finger to it just then... My mind was a blank. And time was running out! Stupid brain of mine... *pffft* But it came to me eventually. Anyways, I was thinking if I should wait for Barry to drive me there or run there... decided on the latter, left my equipment with Sue, ran all the way to where the sunflowers grow. No, I shan't reveal the place coz I know you girls read my blog sometimes... Haha! Just know that it's not exactly near to sch... Anyhoo, I rapped on the owner's door to ask if I could get a few sunflowers. The old man was abit deaf & quite slow... But thank you anyway! He was really kind! Took a garden shears along to cut the pretty lil things. He said sometimes ppl just pluck 'em, and that's not very nice. But I picked a smaller one & a larger one to complement each other... and he cut them for me, gave me a wet towel, & cling wrap. Yay! Yes, I know it's not exactly a beautiful buncha flowers... but at least it's unique ok! And the sincerity is there too! But more importantly, no one else has it. Haha!
As I was walking on the road to wait for Jared to come pick me up, my spider-sense went off! And soon after that, I see a white Magna driving down Sir Fred... squinted: 989 IMY. SHIT! That's Barry! I wonder if any of them saw the 2 sunflowers in my hand. Of course, I tried to hide it as best I can... Haha! It'd be no more surprise if Shuxian saw it.
Anyways, it appears they didn't see it. So I left it in Jared's car, wait till all of them go in already, I ran to his car again, then ran back to UQ Centre... I was dripping sweat down my chin can! Haha! But yeah, it's for a good cause. =)
After everything, we all went round UQ to take some more photos. Take take take until 6, maybe? Then we headed to return to gowns le.
Yup! That's my day! The gowns were so cool can... look like lawyer... haha! I like, totally can't imagine myself in that...
*shrugs* O wells... we'll see how that goes...
Ok ok... I'm tired. Think I'll sleep le. G'night!
Oh ya, we ate gyoza at DL's too! Hahaha!
He misses her so much... aching... *sigh* Sometimes he wonders how he could bear it for so long... Sometimes he feels like he's gonna burst! Absence makes the heart fonder? I dunno... but absence definitely makes the heart ache so much more...

Back from Melb
Hi!
Ok, it's been 3 days since my return from Melbourne. Rested the past 2 days, had everyone come over for dinners & stuff... Today I finally finished editing some photos that I wanna post, downsized them, and now I'm ready to blog.

Here we go-o-o!!!
Day 1: Arrival & Philip Island
We were delayed by about half an hour or so, and reached Melbourne at 9+. Took the SkyBus to Southern Cross station, transferred to another bus that brings us to The Grand Hyatt... No, we're not staying there. We're there to get the car only. Toyota Tarago. You'll see it later. Yeah, anyhoo, we drove to our backpackers' motel:
Nice right? Even the inside's not bad. =) But I nv take picture. So we rested awhile, then we all gathered downstairs & started the long long drive to Philip Island (after lunch, of course). I became the navigator (a post which lasted the whole time we had the car... *grrr*) and guided us down south. Boring journey, so I took this:

On the island itself, we didn't go to the sights... just the penguin parade, which is a shame coz I think the different places on the island itself are quite nice. Besides, u can't take photos when the penguins come ashore... *sigh* But here're some:
Day 2: Yarra Valley & Jennifer's House
Yep! Navigator again! Got to the first stop without much trouble... missed the 2nd totally, but went on to 3rd & so on. After that, it became a just-go-ahead kinda drive. Lotsa stopovers, lotsa beautiful scenery! They just take my breath away y'know... And whatever shots I took, the actual view is much more breathtaking... and windy & cold. Haha!

When we finished the itineries Sue planned, we stopped over at some place to shop abit before proceeding to Jenn's place for dinner. Her mum's preparing Vietnamese Beef Noodle! All of us were like, so anticipating it la! Haha! And it was good! It really was!!!
Day 3: Great Ocean Road
Early in the morning (not so early actually... left the place 8.30am) we started the arduos journey for beautiful sights. Barry drove half the journey there... all the straight roads. Haha! Didn't require much navigation. But I still sat in the front. *pfft* 
Went through Geelong. Went through Torquay too... then Jared took over the wheel & drove like a madman. Haha! K, not so yet. Had lunch at Lorne (I think), and continued the long windy road to the 12 Apostles. What a place man, what a place. I've been there before. But it still is beautiful. The only letdown were the gloomy skies. And then there's one thing I'm super duper pek cek about... I wanted to bring them to this beautiful place where we could go down to the
beach & all, see the caves, see the stacks, the arches and all, but I can't remember where it is nor what it's called! Shit! Went up & down the Great Ocean Road & stopped at various lookouts but, though beautiful, they're not what I want. At the end of the day, I found out that this place I wanted to go was Lorh Ard Gorge, and we passed that twice on the search for it! I was thinking, hmm... gorge... it's just a steep wall, shouldn't be the place. So I didn't suggest we stopped over there. U know how pek cek I am anot? Wah lau eh... Feel like slamming myself into the wall can. *sigh* Anyhoo, here're the 12 Apostles:

Nice day spent there... and the journey back to Torquay was thrilling, at least for the girls. Haha! Coz Jared drove like a madman (this time, madder than when we came) & swerved & sped... haha!
Day 4: City Shopping
We returned the car at 10.30am, and proceeded to the city to shop. Haha! This is where I start getting bored. But I've got my shots. So yeah, I'll just tag along. Maybe I'll find something nice for someone... maybe even myself. =) But nope... didn't. Haha! Oh, except for this rainbow colored scarf that costs $5! So nice can! Haha! But I kept it in view, in case QVM has better deals. So this day passed quite uneventfully...
Day 5: Queen Victoria Market On the way to QVM, we had to cut through this beautiful park:
Then we met Pinky there at what, 11am? Haha! Then all of us sorta split up & weaved our way through the huge marketplace. Lotsa things to look at, lotsa things to buy. Haha! That day, I bought a pair of shoes, brown ones... with orange stripes at the side. It's a no-brander... $50! Got this funky beanie thingy too, with Pinky. Then Daph kept wanting to wear it. Haha! $12.50 after bargaining. And socks!!! Lotsa them! Knee-highs, toe socks, rainbow colored stripes etc etc... and this thing called slipper socks which has rubber dots on the sole. All in all, I spent $20.30 on socks alone. Haha! Crap. Nice day shopping! *grins*
Day 6: St Kilda's Beach & Luna Park
Went to St Kilda's today... I don't see what's there to see... except the marketplace thing, which is quite like Brisbane's SouthBank weekend markets. But all the crafts were made by the stall-keepers themselves! There's this leather mask thing, so cool! Intricately carved & dyed, the design is so beautiful I just gotta have it! But $35 is quite expensive for something I have no use for except display. After that, had lunch, then spent the rest of the day at Luna Park, all the rides & all. $34. So we have to take 17 rides so that it's $2 per ride. And we did! Haha! But frankly, I'd rather pay more and go to Dreamworld. But it was still fun enough... =)

Day 7: Bridge Road & Smith St: SHOPPING!!!
This was a spend-money day. Haha! Bought stuff for some ppl, earrings, necklaces etc... accessories la. Haha! Bought 2 Nike caps at $5 each, 1 black, 1 red. Shuxian loved the red one & blamed me for not showing her so she could buy too. Haha! I told u to just take mine mah... u don't want. But seriously, if u want, just take k? =D Yeah, bought so much stuff... Look!
Day 8: Free & Easy: Landmarks & Crazy Pix
Hmm... Shuxian said we have to make full use of the day coz it's our last day. So we left at 6.30am. Haha! Met Pinky on William St, and walked on to QVM, which was supposed to open at 6. Well, technically yes, it is open. But only the fruits & veg. Haha!
Crap. So we wanted to take the City Circle around to take photos. But alas, City Circle doesn't start till 10am! Haha! So we had to walk about the city. But it's good... We get to see things slowly... and take photos along the way! (I've included some miscellaneous pics as well)
