Thursday Morn...

I just got an email from Mary. Haha! My course only has 12 ppl! What the hell... Oh, this is the ENTM3002 one... the Applied Insect Ecology one. The one I've been complaining about! Haha! Ya, only 12! So funny... I wonder how many students are enrolled in ENTM3003, which is Insect Morphology. =)

Anyways, I'm blogging now mainly just for a song. I guess the lyrics of the whole song is too painful... to... someone? So I'll just put the last part down... *nods*

"... What I really meant to say
Is I'm dying here inside,
I miss you more each day.
There's not a night
I haven't cried,
And baby here's the truth,
I'm still in love with you.
That's what I really meant to say.

What I really meant to say
Is I'm really not that strong.
No matter how I try,
I'm still holding on.
And here's the honest truth:
I'm still in love with you.
That's what I really meant to say."

-Cyndi Thompson: What I Really Meant To Say

Babe, I don't wanna end up like this. Please tell me what's wrong... please tell me what's going on...

Love me if you dare... 10:24

Sad sad day...

I submitted my assignment today! Yay! Haha! K, Sue submitted for me coz I was too lazy to go to school JUST to slot it in...

*sigh* Today is a sad day... There're at least 3 things to be sad about...

A sister I know... she has to go back home already. Time's up for her here at Brisbane. I know how sad she must've felt... and worse still, I know how very sad he must've felt. I totally understand what he'd go through... because I have. But take heart my friends...

"3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.

4 Then you will win favor and a good name
in the sight of God and man.

5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;

6 in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight."

-Proverbs 3:3-6

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Another sister... I emphatise with u my dear, but I do not know how to handle this. My weak human heart says to just give up. But this is what GOD's Word says,
"1Wives, in the same way be submissive to your husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives,
2when they see the purity and reverence of your lives.
3Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes.
4Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight."
-1 Peter 3:1-4
~~~~~~~~~~~~

Yet another sister. I know things have changed. Maybe it'll never be the same again. But don't lose heart. We must suffer on earth. Nevertheless, love like there's no tomorrow. Love with all your heart. Love with all your spirit. Love will come to you, my dear sister.

Meanwhile, these verses I leave with u,

"18Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
19Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them."

-Colossians 3:18-19

"24Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything...

... 33However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband."

-Ephesians 5:24, 33

~~~~~~~~~~~~
To these 3 dear sisters and 1 brother, you have a choice. Pray hard and keep praying. Stay close to GOD and HE will make your paths straight. HE only wants the best for you. So be encouraged to know that whatever decision you make, it'll only turn out for the best of you. GOD is still in control!
Oh ya, went jogging today with Sue. Haha! Here's my route: Sandford St, Sir Fred Schonell straight on to basketball court, ran along the river to GPSouth multistorey carpark, Blk 78, Physio Refec, Chancellor's Dr, Carmody Rd, Warren St, Sir Fred Schonell, MacQuarrie St, Guyatt Park. Haha! It wasn't a long distance but we jogged slowly... trains stamina actually. Or at least, that's what I've been told. *shrugs* Nice!
Tmr will be another whole day of reading. I hope this quiz won't be too hard. Open book leh... die liao die liao...
Darling, what can your heart not take anymore? Pour out your troubles to me, I am here for you, always.
Love me if you dare... 02:24
After all the work
Hello... *sigh*
Yeah... I finished my draft... haha... I'm so xian.
Submitted it to Mary (my tutor) today. Actually it was due yesterday but she's nice enough to let me submit a draft before submitting a final copy. Yeah... She returned my email after commenting & browsing through my work. Haha! Guess what she said?
"Gday Kane, I have read through your draft and made a fair few comments. I can see that you have been reading the material and you are right - it is controversial stuff. The ideas expressed in Walter's book are not those of the general scientific community.
Your critique is better that your summary although both could benefit from some editing. Many of your ideas are inadequately expressed, in some cases it is not clear what you mean.
Consider logical consistency in your summary, in some of your points you have expressed ideas which are mutually exclusive of one another. This is a difficult activity, if you would like to come in and talk to me about some of these theories tomorrow I would be happy to help you.
mmaaaryyyy"
Haha! Look look! My critique is better than (I assume that's a typo) my summary! Haha! And and... I am right! Woooo!!! Haha! "... you have been reading the material..." Y'know what? I only started on my critique this morning... after I woke up... which is like 11.30am. And I submitted my draft at 2pm. Haha! Walah! How cool is that? But I slept at 5 though... doing the stupid summary. Anyways, you have to admit GOD is great, ain't HE?
"... in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?"
-Psalms 56:11
Luckily this is the last critique I have to do le. The rest are practicals. I need to analyse the pests on one particular plant. I have yet to isolate that plant. And I need to dissect 3 insects. A herbivore, a predator, a sucker (like bee or butterfly kind of sucker). And ya! This Friday got quiz on Parasitology. *sigh* So much work to do... cannot even rest after my critiques... =P
I feel that even though this sem is so much more slack than last sem, the workload is so much more busy lor. Hai... I'd rather have the lectures during the week... Self-discipline somehow always evades me.
"For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline."
-2 Timothy 1:7
"If you are not disciplined, then you are illegitimate children [of GOD] and not true sons."
-Hebrews 12:8
"[You] will die for lack of discipline, led astray by [your] own great folly."
-Proverbs 5:23
Haha! Silly Eunice... keep asking me to go her house to eat. Haha! Last time was the kangaroo steak. Now is porridge. Haha! It's ok... I appreciate your kindness. Sorry la, next time ok? Unless u all cannot finish & wanna throw away, then throw to me... haha!
Anyways, mmm... ok, my brain is kinda empty now... nothing to type le. Haha!
Oh ya! I was contemplating whether I should get a $199 bike with caliper brakes which can take normal usage, or a $429 bike with disc brakes and can take lots of drops & jumps. Most probably I'll get the $199 one la... but my options are still open... =) Waiting for Weiyang to contact me so we could get it together... I've got a free delivery coupon! Haha! Yay!
Ok, that's all. *grin*
Back to editing... *bleah*
The world isn't such a bad place... Even though evil lurks everywhere & sin covers the planet, love shines through. And love will prevail.
"Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away."
-1 Corinthians 13:8
Friday afternoon... *bleah*
Hello!
I haven't blogged for so long... *sigh* But I've been really busy the past few days... the stupid assignment. *bleah* Why the hell do we need to do critiques? No one's gonna bother about the critiques anyways... except for marks... But, because we're students, we don't have a choice. Therefore, I'm still doing another one... last one though. *phew*
Anyways, that's not why I'm blogging now. I wanna say:
I SOLD MY BIKE!!!
Haha! I'm gonna get a new one though. I think, and I really hope, that this would be a better quality one... Huffy sucks! Oh by the way, this one the brand is Greenwood. And it has Shimano gears and Shimano front & rear derailleurs. Pity it's only got caliper brakes instead of disc-brakes. 21-Speed, RapidFire Gear shifters... $199 + $25 delivery fee.
Oh, another news! Haha! Barry's eating instant noodles! Wow!!! Haha! I'm so evil... *muahahaha!* Yeah, coz he's sick, then he nv go buy groceries... so tonight dinner he dunno wanna eat what before going to Bridges. He was thinking pizza, then I was like, no, eat instant noodles! Hahaha! And somehow I managed to psyche him into it. Hahaha! Ok ok... don't poke him about it... =P
Ok ok... shan't rant anymore. Need to get on with my readings. Yep! That's what I've been doing the whole time I didn't blog. Hai... xianness.
Take care guys!
"Beloved
6 Place me like a seal over your heart,
like a seal on your arm;
for love is as strong as death,
its jealousy unyielding as the grave.
It burns like blazing fire,
like a mighty flame.
7 Many waters cannot quench love;
rivers cannot wash it away.
If one were to give
all the wealth of his house for love,
[he] would be utterly scorned.
Friends
8 We have a young sister,
and her breasts are not yet grown.
What shall we do for our sister
for the day she is spoken for?
9 If she is a wall,
we will build towers of silver on her.
If she is a door,
we will enclose her with panels of cedar.
Beloved
10 I am a wall,
and my breasts are like towers.
Thus I have become in his eyes
like one bringing contentment."
-Song of Solomon 8:6-10
You are my beloved... and you have become in my eyes, one bringing contentment... one bringing bliss...
The day after tmr..
Help me... *gurgle gurgle*
I hate reading... I totally hate reading!!! I'm so gonna fail this course lor... =( How to get 1st class honours? Hmm? *bleah* Maybe I'll end up fogging your rubbish chute in a year's time. Shit shit shit... Maybe I should've gone into some designing course... Follow your heart? Well, my heart is undecided. And so my mind made the decision to study entomology instead.
Is this a wrong choice GOD? Please reveal YOUR will... It's so hard to persevere...
"Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal."
-Isaiah 26:4
"Please tell me
Why do birds
Sing when you're near me,
Sing when you're close to me?
They say that
I'm a fool
For loving you deeply,
Loving you secretly.
But I crash in my mind
Whenever you are near.
Getting deaf, dumb and blind,
Just drowning in despair.
I am lost in your flame,
It's burning like a sun.
And I call out your name
The moment you are gone.
Please tell me
Why can't I
Breathe when you're near me,
Breathe when you're close to me?
I know, you know I'm lost
In loving you deeply,
Loving you secretly.
But I crash in my mind
Whenever you are near,
Getting deaf, dumb and blind,
Just drowning in despair.
I am lost in your flame,
It's burning like a sun.
And I call out your name
The moment you are gone.
Tomorrow,
I'll say it all tomorrow.
Or the day after tomorrow...
I'm sure I'll tell you then..."
Can't squeeze it in!!!
Hello!
*ahem* Well, I'm just here to blog about how I've tried cramming the stupid chapter in the WHOLE DAY but I just can't. And it's been quite a distracting day too... Watched Mad Max during lunch... oops. Oh ya, I cooked sweet potato porridge for lunch! Haha! Nice leh! And we pei the "ba jiu" and the preserved bean curd, wa-a-ah... feels like home. Haha! I remember the days when mum would cook sweet potato porridge for lunch on Saturday mornings & stuff... and Shawn would take alot of the beancurd thingy, and we both loved the "ba jiu"... Ah-h-h...
Yeah, anyways, after that, got back to reading... wah so xian can?! At 6.13pm, Sue was wondering if there was Simpsons today. Switched on the TV, YES! There was! So watched & study during the commercials & stuff... After Simpsons, Roahl Dahl's The Witches came on! So watched & studied during the commercials too... *bleah* I know I know... so distracted & everything... *guilty* Dinner was leftover pasta with Butter Chinken Chunky Soup! Yep! Simple & quick... I've got lotsa Chunky Soup anyways.
So yeah, now that The Witches is over, I turned off the TV in case something else comes up... Well, I know that after Witches is Castaway... yes, good show too. But if I watched that, no need to study liao.
Hmm... Yesterday CF was fun! Haha! Found out some birthdays... coz Mei was looking at my IC, then she was like, "Eh! You're 14th ah? I'm 13th leh!"
Then I was like, "really?!"
Then Eunice came over & said "I'm 15th!"
and then Bryan said "I'm 16th!"
and then Melisa (yes, only 1 "s") said "I'm 17th!"
Haha! So cool right! But then, it turns out that only Mei was on Feb. Eunice is 15th Jan, Bryan is 16th Mar, Melisa is 17th Sept. Haha! But it was a fun time anyhoo...
Ok ok... I need to go read liao... So exciting!
-__-"
Enjoy folks! Shopping & everything eh? *wink wink*
And for those who're sick (there're quite a few of you), get well soon... keep healthy ya?
And for those who're troubled by matters of the heart (there're quite a few of you too!), y'know, GOD will make a way. Keep praying, keep trying, keep persevering, k?
"Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind."
-James 1:4-6
Ok, it may be quite out of context but I do think u could relate it? No? Yes... =)
Check this out, how Jesus says perseverence pays off. It's quite funny the way the parable goes, but the main point is there la. Luke 18:1-7
And in addition to my previous post about love, this is what love must be too:
"Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer."
-Romans 12:9-12
Let's persevere my dear, because we love each other. Because we love each other, we will win. =)
Love me if you dare... 19:35
Breakup season
Damien's birthday wasn't as wonderful as I thought it'd be. He wanted to drink... I wanted to drink. But then when we reached DownUnder, the crowd was small (actually I think it was quite crowded already, but oh wells, I'm not experienced in clubbing so maybe that's considered small) so we headed off to Mercury where the crowd's supposed to be bigger. But reach there, pay entrance fee of $10, go up, nobody. Haha! Even more empty than DownUnder. And they don't have beer in jugs! Wah lau... so xian. Haha! But since we paid to go in liao, stay lor. Sue went to dance a few minutes. Damien & I just sat there & chatted a wee bit. Met Eddie (NP), Rachel (Viro) and Rex (SBBC) at Mercury too. Haha! What a coincidence! Yeah... After awhile, we decided to go to CyberCity to eat supper: porridge for all of us! All cannot finish, except me. Then I finished off Damien's one also. Haha! Yup. Then... went home liao lor! Yep! That was Tuesday.
*sigh* Know the song "Deck The Halls"? Yeah, Christmas song.
"Deck the halls with boughs of holly,
Falalalala lala lala.
'Tis the season to be jolly,
Falalalala lala lala... "
Well, contrary to the 2nd line, 'tis the season to be gloomy. Indeed, indeed. Why? Well, it seems that this time of the year is a popular time for relationships to crack & break. People start ignoring each other; start to complain of too little time spent; not being understanding enough; not being sensitive enough; third parties popping out... etcetera etcetera.
To all of them, all of you, all of us, let us communicate more. Well, not just more, but more open to each other, the critic, the feedback, the dissatisfaction, the unhappiness, let's all talk it out. Listen to your significant other... listen. There's a reason for 2 ears and only 1 mouth. And there's also a reason why they're called the SIGNIFICANT other.
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."
-1 Corinthians 13:4-7
This is from the Bible. Yes, the Holy one. This is one of the verses I've always held on to. It's so simple. All you need is love, isn't it? Yes! But see what love is? We may not possess all these qualities, but surely in the pursuit of love, we learn and gain these desirable traits. And if you feel that love always fails, look at what you're missing. Because
"Love never fails..."
-1 Corinthians 13:8
I sincerely pray that all my beloved friends, my brothers and sisters, be encouraged by these verses, no matter how common or even cliched it might be.
See, what love is? Or rather, see what love is NOT. Let us reflect upon our love for each other. Let us strive to have Christ's kind of love... a sacrificial love for our loved ones.
"My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends."
-John 15:12-13
"I feel it in my fingers,
I feel it in my toes.
Love is all around me,
And so the feeling grows.
It's written on the wind,
It's everywhere I go.
So if you really love me,
Come on and let it show!
You know I love you,
I always will.
My mind's made up
By the way that I feel.
There's no beginning,
There'll be no end.
'Cause on my love
You can depend.
I see your face before me
As I lay on my bed.
I kinda get to thinking
Of all the things you said.
You gave your promise to me,
And I gave mine to you.
I need someone beside me
In everything I do.
Ooh, it's written in the wind
And where I go!
So if you really love me,
Come on and let it show!
Come on and let it show!"
-Wet Wet Wet: Love Is All Around
Let's love with all our heart! Let's love with all our life! Let's love again! Wrap everything in love!
"Oceans apart
Day after day,
And I slowly go insane.
I hear your voice
On the line,
But it doesn't stop the pain.
If I see you next to never,
How can we say forever?
Wherever you go,
Whatever you do,
I will be right here waiting for you.
Whatever it takes,
Oh, how my heart breaks,
I will be right here waiting for you..."
-Richard Marx: Right Here Waiting
I'll wait for you, my precious darling. Take your sweet sweet time.
It's been so long...
Wow... it's been so long since I blogged. Haha! Well, basically it's coz I haven't had much to blog about the past many days. Hmm... let's see... *thinks* Yup! Nothing interesting.
Well, there's Ekka... But I'm lazy to post the photos right now. I will when I get the chance & the time ok? Don't worry. Right now, this morning, I wanna read my IPM (for those who dunno, it means Insect Pest Management) coz I have a critique due next Monday... again. Why do we have to do these critiques? It's so-o-o... so useless! Argh!
Anyways, Ekka... hmm... We got there 11+. It was such a HUGE area to cover la... haha! We started off (oh, we includes Barry, DL, Sue & yours truly) from the carnival grounds... walked through all the game stalls & the rides... Wah, the Ferris Wheel looks so nice to sit on lor! And there were other rides like Reverse Bungee, Mega Drop, Top Gun kinda stuff? Ya... I was thinking it'd be a very nice place to bring your girlfriend to. Picture this: a couple going around the game stalls, playing all the silly games to try to win a soft toy or something, but that's not what they truly want. They are content with each other's company, and they're having heaps of fun with each other & with the games, and they're all sweaty & all, and they buy a large cup of ice slosh & sit under the shade of a large tree & share it, looking at each other lovingly, smiling, happy... Awww...
*snap snap* Ok, going on, we went to the Showbags area. Wa-a-ah... so many stuff lor. Many were quite cool but most of 'em were useless cheapo quality toys. Oh yes, a Showbag is just a plastic bag of various sizes. In them are, depending on what Showbag it is, stuff ranging from toys, drinks, magazines, chocolate, lollies, balls, fancy hats, skateboards, basketballs, figurines, tote bags, beer, laptop bags, yo-yos... aiyah, countless items la. Usually they have good stuff like laptop bags or basketball in 1 bag, but the other items in the bag are useless? So it's like, not worth the price lor. Hai... didn't buy anything.
Oh there was this spicy spicy chilli thingy that I tasted. WAH!!! Shiok man! This chilli stall had many jars of different chilli sauces with scales of 1-10 on them, 10 being very very hot. I tried immediately 10+... this thing called Dragon Blood. Haha! Not hot one lor... It was sweet! Then I was like, wah lau, their standard so low. Like that call 10+... So I tried the next up & the supposed hottest: 10++. This one had a warning that only 18 & above can taste. Wow... that one is SO-O-O shiok! Haha! It's hot man... Perspiration started to bead my forehead & Barry was like, WHOA! You're pouring! Haha! But it was good... Sue tasted it too & she started "hyperventilating"... Haha! Said she felt light-headed & all, her hands becoming numb... haha!
K, after that, we went to see the farm animals. Haha! Piglets, sheep, rams, chinkens, ducks, turkey, and then there were horses & cows & camels, llamas, alpacas, fish, dogs, cats, parakeets etc etc... haha! So many animals!
We left Ekka at like 6+... Took the train to Brunswick St to meet Damien for dinner at Cybercity. Haha! Then we all headed home. Yeah.. It's been a tiring day. Tiring but nice... I wanna go again next year! Haha!
Oh, Sunday, something really silly happened. Haha! I went through my weekly routine to go to church. Took train to Roma St, changed to the Beenleigh line to go to Fruitgrove so Audrey could pick me up to church. BUT! I forgot to SMS her to tell her I'm coming! Haha! I realised that at 8.20am. So I SMS her saying I'd be there at 8.40am... enough time for her I hoped. When I reached Fruitgrove, no one was there... and I thought, hai... probably she was busy & didn't see the SMS. I waited till 9am, then decided I should go to Barry's church. Haha! Crossed to the other side for the train... Wah! 9.42am then the next train come! What the hell! There's gotta be another way back... Think think think... Bus! Just nice just outside the station was a bus stop. Service 150 comes in 12min time! Cool! Brings me straight to Barry's church! Haha! So I took that & got to Barry's church earlier than him. I was thinking what a shock he'd get when he came & saw me. And he did! At first he sat somewhere behind, then when he saw me (must've been my purple hair), he was like, what the hell am I doing here! Haha! Yeah...
Oh wells, that's Sunday for me! And Saturday...
Ok ok... wah, shit... it's gonna be 11 liao. I gotta start reading man.
See ya! It's been nice recording my life. Haha!
He understands her confusion & her apprehension. Her "dunno anything"... He'd wait... He'd give her time to think, and hopefully accept him again... trust him again. In the meantime, he just wants her to know: he misses her.
Songs for my love...
Hello!
Haha! I submitted my assignment yesterday! What's the big deal? Well, it was due Monday 4pm. =P Oops... haha! And my library book also. Oh wells... *shrugs*
Yesterday we had dinner at Trang Vietnamese & Chinese Restaurant at West End. Barry, Max & I ordered a Special Extra Large Beef Noodle. Damien, Jared & Sue had Special Beef Noodle. I had a tingling feeling I shouldn't've ordered Extra Large. But ah, nvm la. Just order la. But soon enough, I realised why... Damien at like half of his, then gave me the rest liao. He say he just wanted the soup. Haha! Wah! SO-O-O FULL can! Haha! But it was shiok! Yeah!
Just had lunch with Suelynn... We shopped for groceries for 90min, then came home to make spaghetti with beef balls. Haha! It was nice! Except the sauce was too watery. But nice, nonetheless. =)
Hmm... dunno what to type liao leh. Hai... I feel like I should study... like, do some work at home. But so xian... hai. All the stupid CD-ROM courses require SO much discipline... that I haven't got. I think I need to go to Holt Room to study... like we used to. Haha! Maybe tmr... *nods* Maybe tmr. =)
But for now, I think I'm gonna nap liao... haha!
"Her hair is soft and her eyes are oh so blue.
She's all the things a girl should be,
but she's not you.
She knows just how to make me laugh when I feel blue
She's ev'rything a man could want,
but she's not you.
And when we're dancing
It almost feels the same.
I've got to stop myself from
Whisp'ring your name.
She even kisses me like you used to do.
And it's just breaking my heart
'cause she's not you."
-Elvis Presley: She's Not You
"...And that laugh that wrinkles your nose,
It touches my foolish heart."
-Michael Buble: The Way You Look Tonight
Indeed, that laugh that wrinkles your nose touches my foolish heart. Your pretty face always lights up my day... and your gentleness always melts my heart. I miss the days when I see you everyday...
Back from Mt Tamborine
Hi!
Hmm... came back from Mt Tamborine Family Camp! Haha! Yay! It was a nice place... yeah. But we didn't really go sightseeing or what also. Most of the time spent in the camp site. Had 2 theme talks, both of which were quite good. Ok ok... I shall narrate from day (or rather, night) 1...
Night 1:
Christian picked me up from Fruitgrove at 5pm. I was the 1st passenger in the church van. 6 more to go. Haha! Ok... [fast forward]... then when I woke up, we reached Mt Tamborine campsite le. We're gonna be using the QCCC campsite, which stands for Queensland Christian Conference Centre (I think). Yeah... registered, went to my cabin, rested awhile, gathered, opening ceremony, ice-breakers, supper, sleep. Haha! Yep!
Day 2:
Woke up at 6.30am just to go for morning PT. Haha! Wah piang eh... Freezing cold, & I only had on berms & a t-shirt. Everyone else were in like Michellin jackets (the ultra-thick, padded squares ones), woolen pullovers, many layers of clothes, etc etc. No, I dunno the temperature then. But I thought, well, PT should warm me up. Know what? PT was just some stretching, and then running for about 200m. Haha! That's all! Sheesh! Ah wells, everyone had a good laugh anyhows. So that's not too bad. =)
Had breakfast, then had our first Theme Talk by Rev Thong Ng. He was quite humorous... good. Kept me awake. Well, I took notes too, and that kept me awake too. Haha! Yeah. Then we had a little discussion in our groups, then a photo-taking session, then we broke for lunch. After lunch was games. Haha! Everyone was so full & lethargic... movement was so slow. Some more got quite a few old ppl. When we finally got everyone together and started the games, well, at least the ball started rolling. Haha! In the end, everyone enjoyed themselves immensely... coz everyone participated enthusiastically! I guess that's the essence of a family camp... Enthusiasm!
Ok, after games, some went to sleep, some went to some art gallery or something. I went for a bushwalk with majority of the people. Took about 3h in total I think... somewhere there. Had a great time following behind the "troop", with Christian & Sarah, YC, Steven & some others whose names I can't remember, behind. Yeah... haha!
Got back, had dinner, another Theme Talk, discussion, supper, sleep! *yawn* So sleepy.
Day 3:
Woke up, had breakfast... then service. After that, abit of tea, then clean-up the place... Then came back, chatted with some people... lunch! Haha! After lunch, we cleaned up the canteen cum gathering place, then everyone started to leave liao. Christian brought those in the van to some shops somewheres on Mt Tamborine. Spent half an hour there, then we headed back down le. Dropped Frances & her mum home first, then me. Wah seh, I nearly just went off but Sarah told me to check this sign inside the train station. Turns out the station wasn't in use coz they upgrading something! Hahaha! Luckily she told me man. Otherwise I'd be quite stranded. So Christian fetched me to SunnyBanks plaza there instead. Thank you Christian!
Yeah, took 130 to city, rushed abit to take 412, missed it by 2min, went to take CityCat home. Went up DL's place to return him his sleeping bag, then walked back home together. Barry fixed his car abit, then we all (5 of us: Barry, Max, DL, Damien & I) squeezed into the tiny Celica & drove to Hawken Vietnamese for dinner. There, Max met Yongyi... haha! When I saw him, I couldn't stop laughing. Oops... Oh, and I met Rachel too. Yeah. Eat finish le, then come back le lor. Unpacked, bathed, and blogged. I'm supposed to be doing my assignment now. Haha! I type type type, Barry thought I was doing assignment until I told him otherwise. Haha!
Ok ok. I think I should go read my book now. "Insect Pest Management and Ecological Research" by Gimme Hugh Walter. *pffft*
"The other night, dear, as I lay sleeping,
I dreamed I held you in my arms.
When I awoke, dear, I was mistaken,
So I hung my head and cried.
You are my sunshine, my only sunshine.
You make me happy when skies are grey!
You'll never know, dear, how much I love you.
Please don't take my sunshine away.
I'll always love you and make you happy,
If you will only say the same.
But if you leave me to love another,
You'll regret it all someday."
-Bing Crosby: You Are My Sunshine
You are my sunshine dear... u brighten all my days. And when dark clouds cover you, I nearly died. I'm sorry I was so foolish. I'll never let my sunshine go again...
Love me if you dare... 20:56
Sorry darling...
Have I blogged about this before? I think I have...
So how can 1 heart like more than 1 person? I don't know. I really don't. Can someone out there tell me? Because I know it's wrong. I really do. And I've been told also that it'd be unfaithful. But how does one help his/her feelings? I suppose you could just cut contact, couldn't you? But what if the other party is someone so close to you? Closer even than all your long-time friends? What if he/she is the only one u feel at home with, feel comfortable going out with, makes you laugh, studies with you, goes home with you, does everything with you? How could you bring yourself to cut contact with someone like that? I can't...
And throughout all these interactions, wouldn't feelings develop? You see each other everyday, literally. You give him/her all your attention. You care for him/her, and you worry about him/her. Wouldn't that make you (and everyone else, for that matter) think there's something special between the 2 of you? Yes it would... Well, it did me. And I thought it was just such a close friendship... I didn't know...
I didn't know...
" "I'm sorry,"
It's all that you can say.
Years gone by and still
Words don't come easily,
Like "sorry"
"Forgive me,"
Is all that you can say
Years gone by and still
Words don't come easily
Like "forgive me"
Forgive me...
But you can say, baby
Baby can I hold you tonight?
Baby, if I told you the right words
Oooh, at the right time,
You'll be mine.
I love you
Is all that you can say.
Years gone by and still
Words don't come easily,
Like "I love you", I love you..."
-Boyzone: Baby, Can I Hold You Tonight
I still love you baby, I really do. I do not deny my feelings for her, but I assure you, I'm trying hard to not feel for her. And it IS hard... so hard... so very hard...
Love me if you dare... 23:25
2 days from departure
Today, we had lunch at Damien's. Barry, Suelynn & I. Someone said 3 lonely guys and a girl. Haha! Maybe it's just 2 lonely guys... *winks*
Anyways, we had steak. Haha! Leftovers from the other day's BBQ. Wah, I tell u... they gave me such a huge piece can! Not only huge... thick too! Lemme see... It's about abit bigger than my palm + fingers, and it's like 3/4 of my thumb length thick! And somehow the beef was really really REALLY chewy. So 4 of us had a helluva time training our jaws. And we were saying no wonder Australians have such a chiselled jaw. Haha! Even before I had half of my share, my jaw was tired already... but we had to keep chewing, otherwise waste food mah... right? Ok... after beef steak, we had pork chops! Haha! All take the small small piece, leave me with the largest one again! Xiao one these ppl. Haha! Anyways, by the time I got to the pork, my jaw was so tired already, I couldn't eat much more. So that one no choice have to throw away. Haha! Oops...
Went sch after that, to look for this book that ENTM3002 requires to summarize a few chapters as assignments. Wah kau... all loaned out le lor! Only left 1 copy that is under the High Use section. And that can only be borrowed for 2h. Ok... fine. So I sat down in the library for 2h, reading (or rather, trying to read) 1 chapter. Wah piang eh... read until want to sleep lor. So that's exactly what I did! Haha! Power-nap for 15min. Woke up, continued reading... read read read until 6.15pm, returned the book... and I dunno what I've read in the past 2h. Haha! How? Die liao lor. Tmr I'm going back to spend the whole day in there. Oh by the way, my report's due Monday. And Friday to Sunday is church camp at Mt Tamborine. So essentially I only have tmr & Friday afternoon left to do. Great. *shrugs*
Jared came to pick Sue & I up... so here I am, after dinner... I think I should start reading ENTM3003 also. Otherwise like last sem like that, ENTM2011... last minute study then get 6. Imagine if I studied it consistently, I definitely would've gotten a 7 lor. Poon-poon ah...
Ok, that's my activity for today. Haha! Tmr, as mentioned earlier, I'm gonna go to sch in the morning to work. Meeting Mai for lunch(?) and just catch up. Haha! Yeah... missed her craziness.
Oh wells... =)
"I could stay awake just to hear you breathing,
Watch you smile while you are sleeping,
While you're far away and dreaming.
I could spend my life in this sweet surrender.
I could stay lost in this moment forever.
Every moment spent with you
Is a moment I treasure.
I don't wanna close my eyes;
I don't wanna fall asleep
'Cause I'd miss you, baby,
And I don't wanna miss a thing.
'Cause even when I dream of you,
The sweetest dream would never do
I'd still miss you, baby,
And I don't wanna miss a thing.
Lying close to you
Feeling your heart beating,
And I'm wondering what you're dreaming,
Wondering if it's me you're seeing.
Then I kiss your eyes and thank God we're together,
And I just wanna stay with you
In this moment forever, forever and ever...
I don't wanna miss one smile,
I don't wanna miss one kiss.
Well, I just wanna be with you,
Right here with you, just like this.
I just wanna hold you close,
Feel your heart so close to mine,
And just stay here in this moment
For all the rest of time..."
-Aerosmith: I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing
But he's already missed so much. All the time spent away, imagine all the love that could've been nurtured. Still, he's thankful for her love and patience. =) He'll make it up to her when he returns. He'll spend every possible moment with her... and love her like she's his life. Because she is.
Love me if you dare... 17:57
Goodbye
Hmm... so many songs I want to put up today. This one, I've been saving it for today. Shuxian, this is for you. Though we're not exactly like that, I do hope my heart will feel lighter in a couple of days...
“坐在你的身边
相偎身影是谁
在这露天cafe。
耳机一人一边
分享着音乐,
你笑得太甜美。
低着头转身退
脚步拖着心碎
走多远无所谓。
给我一点时间
让心情沉淀,
宁愿寂寞跟随。
今夜和你说再见
突然感觉心轻了些。
就算在离开以前
泪水已流满脸。
今夜和你说再见,
其实我心里有多不愿。
只愿当作没看见
这伤心的画面。”
-陳曉東: Goodbye
La Vie En Rose
I think my iTunes is psychic to me. It's been playing all the songs that express what I feel all day! And it just did this song... from the show "Love Me If You Dare"... which reminds me of... y'know... yeah...
Anyways, it's a french show... nice show. Yup... nice nice show...
"Hold me close and hold me fast.
This magic spell you cast;
this is la vie en rose.
When you kiss me, heaven sighs.
And though I close my eyes
I see la vie en rose.
When you press me to your heart,
I'm in a world apart.
A world where roses bloom.
And when you speak,
angels fly from above.
Everyday words seem to turn
into love songs.
Give your heart and soul to me.
Babe, it's gonna be
La vie en rose.
Mmm, when you press me to your heart,
I'm in a world apart.
A world where roses bloom.
And when you speak,
angels fly from above.
Everyday words seem to turn
into love songs.
Give your heart, your soul to me.
Babe, it's gonna be
La vie en rose."
-Louis Armstrong: La Vie En Rose
K, this has been sung by a few others like Bette Midler & Cindy Lauper too, to name a few.
Darling, I need u now more than ever... Being alone never felt so empty... emptiness never sounded so hollow...
1st day they're gone... =(
Just heard this song playing on my iTunes:
"嘿,不要不开心。我不是要离去…
… 我去去就来 你别红眼睛 My love…
…Nothing ever changes 请快乐等待,
等我绕一圈回来还会是那个爱你的女孩。
…"
SHE: Nothing Ever Changes
It sounds like someone is singing that to me... someone whom I miss so much. And the tears just kept flowing down my face... and no, everything changes...
It's a funny feeling when, you wake up in the morning (k, it was past noon already when I woke up) and there's nothing to look forward to. I walked around the house. Went into Daphne's room... It looked so empty... just like how I feel.
Empty.
And thoughts just kept popping into my head. Memories of the 3 of them, together or individually... Oh man, it's just so tear-jerking. I look around the house, and everything just reminds me of her... especially her... especially you sweetie.
To you:
Thank you for accomodating us,
Thank you for bringing us around.
Thank you for studying with me,
Thank you for being my company.
Thank you for dancing with me,
Thank you for hanging out with me.
Thank you for talking to me,
For walking with me.
For being with me
Everyday of my life here.
Thank you for cheering me on,
For pushing me to study.
For encouraging me
When you see through me so well.
Thank you for loving me as I am,
For bearing with my craziness.
All my silliness
You took it in your stride.
Thank you for being my friend, dear.
One so close to my heart.
I daresay you're the only one
who's ever been this close.
And now that you're gone,
You know I'm gonna miss u.
No one's here for me anymore,
No one ever will.
Everything's different,
And I'll miss you always...
Man, this has to be the wettest entry I ever typed.
My darling, don't be jealous. He's only missing her so much. You know he misses u more no matter what. And he loves u more than anything.
Love me if you dare... 12:47
