Back from Mt Tamborine
Hi!
Hmm... came back from Mt Tamborine Family Camp! Haha! Yay! It was a nice place... yeah. But we didn't really go sightseeing or what also. Most of the time spent in the camp site. Had 2 theme talks, both of which were quite good. Ok ok... I shall narrate from day (or rather, night) 1...
Night 1:
Christian picked me up from Fruitgrove at 5pm. I was the 1st passenger in the church van. 6 more to go. Haha! Ok... [fast forward]... then when I woke up, we reached Mt Tamborine campsite le. We're gonna be using the QCCC campsite, which stands for Queensland Christian Conference Centre (I think). Yeah... registered, went to my cabin, rested awhile, gathered, opening ceremony, ice-breakers, supper, sleep. Haha! Yep!
Day 2:
Woke up at 6.30am just to go for morning PT. Haha! Wah piang eh... Freezing cold, & I only had on berms & a t-shirt. Everyone else were in like Michellin jackets (the ultra-thick, padded squares ones), woolen pullovers, many layers of clothes, etc etc. No, I dunno the temperature then. But I thought, well, PT should warm me up. Know what? PT was just some stretching, and then running for about 200m. Haha! That's all! Sheesh! Ah wells, everyone had a good laugh anyhows. So that's not too bad. =)
Had breakfast, then had our first Theme Talk by Rev Thong Ng. He was quite humorous... good. Kept me awake. Well, I took notes too, and that kept me awake too. Haha! Yeah. Then we had a little discussion in our groups, then a photo-taking session, then we broke for lunch. After lunch was games. Haha! Everyone was so full & lethargic... movement was so slow. Some more got quite a few old ppl. When we finally got everyone together and started the games, well, at least the ball started rolling. Haha! In the end, everyone enjoyed themselves immensely... coz everyone participated enthusiastically! I guess that's the essence of a family camp... Enthusiasm!
Ok, after games, some went to sleep, some went to some art gallery or something. I went for a bushwalk with majority of the people. Took about 3h in total I think... somewhere there. Had a great time following behind the "troop", with Christian & Sarah, YC, Steven & some others whose names I can't remember, behind. Yeah... haha!
Got back, had dinner, another Theme Talk, discussion, supper, sleep! *yawn* So sleepy.
Day 3:
Woke up, had breakfast... then service. After that, abit of tea, then clean-up the place... Then came back, chatted with some people... lunch! Haha! After lunch, we cleaned up the canteen cum gathering place, then everyone started to leave liao. Christian brought those in the van to some shops somewheres on Mt Tamborine. Spent half an hour there, then we headed back down le. Dropped Frances & her mum home first, then me. Wah seh, I nearly just went off but Sarah told me to check this sign inside the train station. Turns out the station wasn't in use coz they upgrading something! Hahaha! Luckily she told me man. Otherwise I'd be quite stranded. So Christian fetched me to SunnyBanks plaza there instead. Thank you Christian!
Yeah, took 130 to city, rushed abit to take 412, missed it by 2min, went to take CityCat home. Went up DL's place to return him his sleeping bag, then walked back home together. Barry fixed his car abit, then we all (5 of us: Barry, Max, DL, Damien & I) squeezed into the tiny Celica & drove to Hawken Vietnamese for dinner. There, Max met Yongyi... haha! When I saw him, I couldn't stop laughing. Oops... Oh, and I met Rachel too. Yeah. Eat finish le, then come back le lor. Unpacked, bathed, and blogged. I'm supposed to be doing my assignment now. Haha! I type type type, Barry thought I was doing assignment until I told him otherwise. Haha!
Ok ok. I think I should go read my book now. "Insect Pest Management and Ecological Research" by Gimme Hugh Walter. *pffft*
"The other night, dear, as I lay sleeping,
I dreamed I held you in my arms.
When I awoke, dear, I was mistaken,
So I hung my head and cried.
You are my sunshine, my only sunshine.
You make me happy when skies are grey!
You'll never know, dear, how much I love you.
Please don't take my sunshine away.
I'll always love you and make you happy,
If you will only say the same.
But if you leave me to love another,
You'll regret it all someday."
-Bing Crosby: You Are My Sunshine
You are my sunshine dear... u brighten all my days. And when dark clouds cover you, I nearly died. I'm sorry I was so foolish. I'll never let my sunshine go again...
Love me
if you
dare...
