Breakup season

Damien's birthday wasn't as wonderful as I thought it'd be. He wanted to drink... I wanted to drink. But then when we reached DownUnder, the crowd was small (actually I think it was quite crowded already, but oh wells, I'm not experienced in clubbing so maybe that's considered small) so we headed off to Mercury where the crowd's supposed to be bigger. But reach there, pay entrance fee of $10, go up, nobody. Haha! Even more empty than DownUnder. And they don't have beer in jugs! Wah lau... so xian. Haha! But since we paid to go in liao, stay lor. Sue went to dance a few minutes. Damien & I just sat there & chatted a wee bit. Met Eddie (NP), Rachel (Viro) and Rex (SBBC) at Mercury too. Haha! What a coincidence! Yeah... After awhile, we decided to go to CyberCity to eat supper: porridge for all of us! All cannot finish, except me. Then I finished off Damien's one also. Haha! Yup. Then... went home liao lor! Yep! That was Tuesday.

*sigh* Know the song "Deck The Halls"? Yeah, Christmas song.

"Deck the halls with boughs of holly,
Falalalala lala lala.
'Tis the season to be jolly,
Falalalala lala lala... "

Well, contrary to the 2nd line, 'tis the season to be gloomy. Indeed, indeed. Why? Well, it seems that this time of the year is a popular time for relationships to crack & break. People start ignoring each other; start to complain of too little time spent; not being understanding enough; not being sensitive enough; third parties popping out... etcetera etcetera.

To all of them, all of you, all of us, let us communicate more. Well, not just more, but more open to each other, the critic, the feedback, the dissatisfaction, the unhappiness, let's all talk it out. Listen to your significant other... listen. There's a reason for 2 ears and only 1 mouth. And there's also a reason why they're called the SIGNIFICANT other.

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."

-1 Corinthians 13:4-7

This is from the Bible. Yes, the Holy one. This is one of the verses I've always held on to. It's so simple. All you need is love, isn't it? Yes! But see what love is? We may not possess all these qualities, but surely in the pursuit of love, we learn and gain these desirable traits. And if you feel that love always fails, look at what you're missing. Because

"Love never fails..."

-1 Corinthians 13:8

I sincerely pray that all my beloved friends, my brothers and sisters, be encouraged by these verses, no matter how common or even cliched it might be.

See, what love is? Or rather, see what love is NOT. Let us reflect upon our love for each other. Let us strive to have Christ's kind of love... a sacrificial love for our loved ones.

"My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends."

-John 15:12-13

"I feel it in my fingers,
I feel it in my toes.
Love is all around me,
And so the feeling grows.

It's written on the wind,
It's everywhere I go.
So if you really love me,
Come on and let it show!

You know I love you,
I always will.
My mind's made up
By the way that I feel.
There's no beginning,
There'll be no end.
'Cause on my love
You can depend.

I see your face before me
As I lay on my bed.
I kinda get to thinking
Of all the things you said.
You gave your promise to me,
And I gave mine to you.
I need someone beside me
In everything I do.

Ooh, it's written in the wind
And where I go!
So if you really love me,
Come on and let it show!
Come on and let it show!"

-Wet Wet Wet: Love Is All Around

Let's love with all our heart! Let's love with all our life! Let's love again! Wrap everything in love!

"Oceans apart
Day after day,
And I slowly go insane.
I hear your voice
On the line,
But it doesn't stop the pain.

If I see you next to never,
How can we say forever?

Wherever you go,
Whatever you do,
I will be right here waiting for you.
Whatever it takes,
Oh, how my heart breaks,
I will be right here waiting for you..."

-Richard Marx: Right Here Waiting

I'll wait for you, my precious darling. Take your sweet sweet time.

Love me if you dare... 03:33
