The truth? Ha... truth indeed...
"The truth is powerful..."
-Sex and the City
That line had an impact on me for quite some time. In fact, I've lived my life trying to not lie. Of course, I'm not infallible. But I try, and I try hard. And I've tried to impose telling the truth on all those around me. No matter big or small, every truth told is a lie less told.
But lately, some things happened to make me wonder if the truth all the time is really appropriate. Lies are lies, no matter how serious or how light, how big or small. White lies are also lies... I don't wanna lie to my loved ones... It's... it's dark. It's hiding something... it's not being truthful. It's not good. But if the truth leads to a whole lot of problems that wouldn't have been if a small lil' lie be told, and no one would be the wiser, then what is the choice you would make?
I chose truth despite all the potential troubles it might bring.
And now, I'm beginning to regret it.
It's so painful...
So is the truth really powerful?
"The truth is powerful..."
Devastatingly so...
He's gonna wait... until she's ready to tell him. Tell him to let go, or tell him that she loves him, he's ready for both. He's ready for both... ...
Love me
if you
dare...
