Kite boy...
Hmm... did some research on insect-plant interaction today. I'm supposed to come up with a sampling system. Checked up on this Lantana camara plant that's supposedly causing alot of problems... When I saw the picture, I realised it was that pretty nice flowers that Vivian took when we first moved into Sandford St home! Who would've thought such a pretty thing to be a weed? Which brings to mind the quote, "Never judge a book by its cover." Well, I didn't really know where got quite alot of L. camara bushes around my place, so I was thinking maybe I don't sample that. My backyard has these plants that I dunno the name of, that has these galls or blisters caused by dunno what. But I suspect it's this puny fly...
You can see another 2 of them in the nearer foreground, extremely out of focus because of the extremely shallow depth of field at such high magnifications. Oh, each fly is only about 1 - 1.5mm.

Here's another shot of a loner fly... See one of the galls they cause at the top left? In fact, this one's on one of the bumps right now...

It was really windy & the leaves kept shaking all over the place. So it was pretty soon that I got distracted & spotted these 2 making out... Haha! Each of them was about 5 or 6mm? Yeah... pretty small dudes. And look at how full of sperm the male is, and how full of eggs the female is! Their abdomen is SO bloated can. Haha! Oh, in case u don't know, the male is the one with the grey abdomen... or on top of the female.

Then the winds blew again & I got distracted... and spotted this tiny mantis holding one of those gall-causing flies in its claws! Haha! Went to disturb it & played with it awhile, and it dropped its prey. Cool little dude... less than 2cm long? Must've been a baby. See, the wings aren't even developed yet. =)

Yep! U guessed it... the winds came... and this time, with a feathery shower too! I wasn't really bothered by the rain coz I was looking at how the insects hid from the rain. The mantis crawled onto the underside of a leaf! So cool! But on another plant, this ladybird stuck it out! It just stayed there, exposed to the rain. Oh, on the left side u can see another of that gall-fly thingy at the apex of the leaflet! Wheee! Haha!

Yep! That's my afternoon... *sigh*
Had seaweed soup from last night for dinner. Today supposed to have double episodes of Simpsons & Futurama... but because of stupid Australian Idol Unplugged, they cancelled the extra episodes!!! ARGH!!! *waves fist* Oh wells... what can one do to poor Mike TV (I named our TV Mike, after Roald Dahl's character in Charlie & The Chocolate Factory) when he's only responsible for receiving signal & projecting them?
Vivian told me an ultra-super-lame story:
Vivian :: I want Boost Juice's All Berry Bang..!! says:
got 1 boy.. his classmates say he look like a kite.. so he very sad.. he went home ask his mother.. do i really look like a kite.. his mother say.. ah boy u really look like a kite.. then he very sad.. he cried and ran out of the house.. as he was running.. he flew up..
Haha! Cool eh? Hahahaha! He flew up... Sheesh Vivian... haha!
Oh wells... Guess I better get back to reading... Somehow I feel that I haven't been too productive today...
I may regret, but everyone has regrets. Right now, I can only try my best to love you. You're not 甚麽都不是 ok? Insecurities will be secured, if only you'd tell me what's wrong darling...
Love me
if you
dare...
