A week gone by so fast...

Wow... a week's gone by just like that.

Yeah, I submitted my assignment on time. I don't know how it'll be graded, but I'll just pray for the best. Think I'll take a break this weekend... well, not that I didn't last weekend. Haha!

Just watched "A Cinderella Story" starring Hilary Duff. I think I really like her shows... especially Lizzie McGuire (which is a TV series). Anyways, "A Cinderella Story" is basically that... a modern Cinderella story about a pretty girl (Hilary Duff) whose dad passed away & an evil (including fat & not-so-pretty) step-mum + 2 bimbotic retards as step-sisters took over her life & made things tough for her. And then there's Prince Charming & all that ya-da ya-da... and well, seeing how people don't lose their shoes as often anymore, the directors made Cinderella lose her mobile! How hi-tech! Haha! Anyhow, it's a typical girl show... full of romance & dreams & stand-up-for-yourself propaganda & if-you-believe-in-yourself-you-can-do-all-things incidents & most importantly, an awww-inducing happy ending. And guess what? I love that! In fact, when I thought about it, I really love watching awww-inducing movies! People always say guys hate those kinda movies... they want comedy, action, thrillers, horror, gore, porn maybe? But never NEVER romance & less-than-perfect girls with happy endings (Oh, the "perfect" girl who's a cheerleader & has an excellent figure & is the most popular girl in school ended up with no boyfriend). Hmm... am I normal? Sure, I do like comedy & horror... wah, so long never watch a horror show already. And fantasy (like dragons & magic & supercool hi-tech gadgets) movies too! But hey, I love girl-movies as much as any other thing! So all you girls out there who haven't got anyone to watch a girly movie with (which is quite unlikely since girls go in packs), come find me! Hahaha!

I want to buy a thumbdrive! OfficeWorks has this LG thumbdrive... similar design as their Chocolate phone... but of course, not as refined la. But still, it looks good. I can't seem to find their picture online so I'll take a picture & post it here ya? The best thing is, for 1GB, it's only AUD$25! Which equates to SGD$30... which is alright, considering it's cool-looking. I've always wanted a nice thumbdrive... and now I've got one! Yay! K, I'm gonna get one... tomorrow! And since I've to go to the city to get it, I guess I might just walk around abit & do some window shopping! Yeps! *nods*

Hmm... I got nothing else to blog about for now already... Oh oh!!! I bought $16 worth of chocolates & sweets! Hahaha! K-Mart was having a sale on Starburst... bought 3 packets at $1.99 each when they'd usually cost about $3+ each. Haha! And then I bought Maltesers under clearance... $4 for 400g! They're usually like $4.40 for 195g. Haha! Good deal right? So that's $10... hmm... *thinks* Oh yes! 3 packs of M&M's too! Haha! 1's the original one... 250g for $1.99. 1's the mint ones... 200g for $1.99... and last 1's a special edition pink ones... a certain percentage goes towards Breast Cancer Research... 200g for $1.99 too! So there! That's $16! Hahaha!

Oh yes! I bought not-too-bad dips & Home Brand Water crackers for OCF... wah, everyone likes it lor! So cool! Hahaha! I was quite surprised! I got them Tatziki (which is yoghurt, cucumber & garlic) and Cheese & Chives (which is... cheese... and chives!)... Amazingly, most of them preferred Tatziki flavoured! Haha! So cool! And some of them were like, wah, so special one ah? I thought every time is potato chips? But then, Melisa said something... she said "This is so Eunice lor!" *bleah* Eunice!!! Is it so you? Hmm? Well, maybe then you & I aren't so different after all... haha! We're cool! Anyways, next time I bring something, I'll try to make it so me & still cater to everyone's liking. Haha!

This! This is a polyopisthocotylean monogenean worm... Where they usually have 1 haptor (which is a sucker for them to hang onto the host), this species has multiple clamps to hold them onto their host. See them? Those "bubble-like" thingy?

This thing looks cute right? This is called the cercaria... They're trematodes... this is like a larval stage...

There's another cercaria... See their forked tail? It helps them swim! Only the head portion (where there're 2 dots for eyes) grows into adults. They shed their tail when they get into a fish.

Oooo! This is the Acanthobothridia... They are cestodes... tapeworms in other words. That flower shaped thing is how they hang onto their hosts...

Oh! There's another kind of cercaria... Notice the tail has some hair-like structures? It helps them to swim more powerfully.

And this one's a nematode. Flatworms... This one's got LOADS of eggs in them... and if u look carefully, u can see the baby worm inside each individual egg! Amazing ain't it?

There! This would be a monoopisthocotylydean monogenean... That flower-shaped thing is called the haptor... attachment device.

There's another one. This species has a characteristic corkscrew uterus...

Oh! A hemiurid! Hemiurids are characterised by a telescoping behind, known as the escoma. By the way, beautiful ventral sucker there... attachment device again. Further up is the smaller oral sucker for food.

Haha! Beautiful shot of a trypanorynch worm! They are cestodes too, and these eversible spiny tentacles embed into the host tissue to hold them fast!

Transversotrema! This is an odd looking worm. If this worm were to move front, it'll be heading to the upper LEFT, not upper right. Yep! Lives underneath the scales of fish! It looks like a scale itself eh? Haha!

This is a Spirocamallanus buccal capsule (mouth region). Characteristic feature (as u might have guessed) is the spiralling mouth. =)

Isopod! These creatures have 7 PAIRS of legs... 14 legs. Haha! But they look alot like insects... Love 'em!

Hmm... u might not be able to see this clearly but this monogenean has mean hooks to hold it in place... See them? Top right corner?

This is a Caligid copepod. Typical kind of copepods you find almost anywhere. Nothing interesting about them... haha!

THIS is a hatchekiid copepod. Same as the above but it's got some mean hooks too! Imagine that holding on in you... *shudders*

Ok! These are some of the more interesting finds... There're hundreds more but I don't have the time nor patience to upload a whole CD of parasites. Just thought I might let u appreciate the diversity of microscopic life & its complexity even at that level... It definitely shows me how amazing GOD is as much as the beauty of scenic places...
