Integrity bites...

Went to school with Melisa today to submit some forms... Unfortunately for her, she failed one of her exams, which means she failed that course automatically, so she has to stay back longer & take the supplementary paper. But looking at how she likes it here so much, I don't think it's all that bad after all! =) To Melisa, if you ever get to read this post: Everything happens for a reason. If GOD allows it, HE will make a way, and you will make it through. =)

So she was wondering if, since she has to take supp paper, she can extend her student card, so that transport wouldn't be such a killer. Went to look for her faculty's student advisor, who easily said ok, extension can be done. Printed out a letter for the ID Card people, went to extend her student card, the person there just said, "You need to update it on SI-Net. Coz what I do is just print." So that was what she did, changed her graduation semester. Went back to the guy, who didn't even take a look at the faculty's letter coz he said he's got no need for it, printed a new card with the new extended date. Ok! That's that.

"Does it mean that anyone can just extend their student status anytime?" I asked.
"Yeah! Everyone does it. They do it everyday!" he said.

So does "everyone does it" equate to "it is right", or "you can do that"?

Brings me back to my argument with Feli, Vic & Mel about the newspaper collector's horn's sound. "Bor-pee bor-pee", or "Pee-bor pee-bor"? Feli & Vic even got Lachlan to join their side. He even attempted a physics explanation of why it would be the latter instead of the former. Ha! Please girls & guy, go listen ok? Haha! Oh oh!!! I know, why don't u listen to what I already have?

Anyways, my point is, even at that time, majority does NOT equal correct.

Yup! Haha! That's my stand.

But I confess that there is a very big struggle within me. I have a VERY VERY strong urge to extend my graduation date so I can have the student status, get a new student card so my transport costs will be halved for as long as I'm here. Then a part of me keeps holding me back, saying that it's integrity. ARGH!!! How? What's right & what's wrong? Is extending my student status wrong? I haven't graduated anyways... not till 20th July... Grrrrr...

I shall wait till my dad comes online, then I'll ask him.

Oh, know what? YUJUN AGREES WITH ME!!! Hahaha!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!! So happy! It's bor-pee! Not pee-bor! *BLEAH* And Bingjun also agree liao... hahaha! Thank you very much.
