Various Thoughts...
Today has been an alright day. =) Watched HairSpray with Evelyn, Mike & Pinky. Eh, world best... haha! I loved it... I thought it was really good. So yes, go watch it! Hell, I might even consider watching it Gold Class at Indroo, even though there's no special effects of much surround sound. Haha! It makes me wanna sing, it makes me wanna dance! But of course, I know once I try to do that, I'll just look like 3 idiots put together. Bottomline, go watch. And Vic, you'll LOVE the show, totally! =)
Anyways, I was wearing my last pair of underwear today... haha! So I quite desperately needed to get new undies. Yep! So I headed to Orchard, where I bought my orange, green & blue underwear from last time... at Taka. Alas, Taka didn't have a huge range at all. Ok, they had a decent range but they were all white, or dull blue, or black or grey or dull green or beige or maroon or brown. So boring! There was this brand called RAW (or maybe that's just a series) with really pretty prints on it... but it's like $9.90 per pair... so, no no no.
Went on to Paragon Metro to hunt. They had more there, but they were either too ex or just not colorful enough. Actually nearly settled on the B.U.M. equipment one that Mike was talking about... they had an acceptable green pack... but since I still have some time, I decided to pop by Tangs for a look! It's not too far anyways. =) And lo and behold! Here, I find a much bigger range! Maybe about twice as much as Taka? Yep! And it is here that I found my colorful pack of underwear! To top it off, they were cheap cheap! $7.50 for a 5-pack... haha!
Nice right?! =) Happy happy!
As I was lining up to pay for my happy pack, I noticed a little figure in a glass showcase and recognized it as Tokidoki's design! So I wandered in that direction and found 2 t-shirts with a "70% OFF" sticker on the price tag! I was like, WHOA!!! 70%?! But all I could see were these 2 shirts... same design, same size, same cutting - ladies' cut. And it's the soccer girl... not very nice. So I walked up & down the level hunting for more Tokidoki merchandise but to no avail. Boo-hoo... Found out later from a staff that those were the last 2 pieces. *sigh* Looks like I'm never gonna have a genuine Tokidoki t-shirt. Oh, it was $23.70 after discount, by the way...

After my purchase, I headed off to Bedok to have dinner with Melisa. I nearly shopped some more because at 6pm, the sky was as light as 3pm! So I reached Bedok, met Melisa, went to the Hawker below Bernice's place, ate dinner, chatted abit, then at about what, 8:30 or 9pm, I headed up to visit Bernice's mum, her sis, and herself. Haha! It's been so long since I went to their place... like, 2 years ago or something? To celebrate Bernice's birthday, that time, I remember. Haha!
Watched "Mimic" on Ch5, and they had a couple of scientific facts wrong, or inaccurate. Haha! Poor Bernice had to bear with my critical comments. Sorry. But I wanna watch it again! Haha! Apparently they combined cockroach (Blattodea) and termite (Isoptera) genes to create the creature. Haha! The irony... Now, decades after the movie, Isoptera has been absorbed into the Order Blattodea and Isoptera has been demoted to Family level now.
Anyways, I tried looking for Rad & Joanna & Sarah & Mas' photos in the newspapers during National Day. Haha! Apparently they were featured as overseas students patriotic enough to celebrate National Day even though they're like 3000+km from home. Unfortunately, I couldn't find them. =P So I left Bernice's place at, say... 10:30pm? Took 25 home & slept all the way. By the time I got to AMK, it was like 11:30pm le. And to my surprise, the interchange was still almost-bustling with people! It really felt weird knowing that at this time in Brisbane, most places would be dead as a graveyard.
Speaking of which, I was reminded of Karen's "phobia" of her own race. Haha! It dawned on me that majority of the people I see around me here are chinese... all black hair, dark pupils, almond eyes... I'm beginning to miss the Australians already... haha!

Oh ya! Jun, I bought Oatmilk! It's Magnolia one, not Marigold. Haha! We've been saying the wrong brand all this while! And 起價了! Now selling 2 for $6.05 at NTUC... =( But then I didn't see Shop & Save cheaper anot la. Hee hee!
P/S: Something's wrong with Blogger's photo posting function. I'll post some pics next time...
