Bored at work... again.
Hi again!
I'm really bored... shit. I scared when I go over to CSC, it'll be like this too. I finished my work today at 10+, and have been surfing the net and stuff since then... except for a few sporadic assignments that were finished in what, 10min or less?
I nearly wanted to buy 2 Olympus cameras - the 2000Z and the 3030Z - for $80 together. The 3030Z is the descendant of the 2020Z, which was reported to be a very good infrared-receptive camera. I very nearly wanted to buy it right there & then already. Luckily for me, out of my boredom, I went to check the specs and all... Guess what? They're using SmartMedia memory cards! Do you have any idea how old and phased out that thing is? It's like the antique of the electronic solid-state memory world! How antique, you ask. Well, I saw 1GB SD cards selling online for like $8 or so... this stupid SmartMedia is selling for $30!!! No, $30 is not for 1 GB. It's for a 64MB card! Gosh! How many 3megapixel pictures can I take in a 64MB card! Well, I did find a better deal: $40 for a 128MB... but judging from the prices of better quality, better build, and the more future-proof SD cards, I doubt I will take it. It's a shame though, that the buyer isn't including any memory at all.
Oh well... I got myself a new set of mini screwdrivers to dismantle my own mju 800 Digital with. Can't wait. =)
Hmm... throughout the whole day, I browsed through like 2088 Photoshop brushes on Deviantart and downloaded 15 that I thought I might like. I think I'm gonna use these cool brushes for the design of my new blogskin! Which brings me to when I'm actually getting down to doing it... Well, I don't know. It depends on what other activities litter my path for the weekend. I had wanted to go out shooting insects tomorrow, but the weather forecast said that there's gonna be thunderstorms tomorrow... *bleah* So much for nature appreciation. So I thought, well, if I can't go out for photographs, I'll coop myself at home to design my blogskin... coz I really need some leisure art in my life. What do I mean by leisure art? Means doing things at my own leisurely pace, stopping halfway if I want to, or going through the night if I want to. I've had my fair share of stressful art: designing the PL church camp posters and t-shirt. Haha!
Yep! This week we'll be putting up the last of the posters. Actually, the past posters doesn't seem to have drawn alot of attention to them... Even with the use of bright colors and abstract art, people don't seem to notice them. *sigh* Makes me wonder why I'm putting so much effort into this. Last night, Evonne & I were customising the way information will appear, and towards the end of the night, we were like, whatever la... as long as can see can already. People aren't going to scrutinize it anyway. Oh well... Hopefully I'll finish it by tonight so I can have time for tomorrow's activities. =)
And hopefully they'll accept my t-shirt design, or if they don't, just require some minor changes that won't be too hard. Then I just need to think of a simple yet attractive logo for the front and I'm done. Haha!
Lalala! I feel bad for collecting pay without doing much. But there's nothing much I can do if they don't have work for me...
*sigh*
K la, I shall go think of what I require for the cheapest completion of the poster...
Toodles!
Oh yes...
HAPPY 1ST SESSION OCF!!! Wish I were there... =)
Love me
if you
dare...
