After so many days...

Hi all!

It's been like a week since I posted... haha! Sorry sorry... but the Sydney update was just so long & took up so much time just to post. And the few days after the trip had nothing much happening to post. K, there were a few, but I might've been too lazy, or there wasn't enough time when I had the time to write. Know what I mean?

Anyways, Thursday, 1 day post return. Nothing much happened also. Went to sch to study... haha! With the usual gang of ppl la... Vivian, Barry, DL, DG & SX. Yep... See? Nothing.

Friday, 2 days post return. Went sch to study also... with the same ppl - DG + Vivash, finally met him. Haha! He's the one who caused all the misery in the group! Grrr... But I didn't have a really strong dislike la... just... dislike. =P Anyways, study finish liao, then we went to Hawken to eat Indonesian. Haha! Had this mutton curry thing. It was not bad, but the curry was kinda thin as compared to Singapore's type. Yeah... and whilst waiting for the food to arrive, Barry & SX & I went to Coles to get some stuff... essential things to live by like chocolates. Haha! Jared & Sue joined us for dinner too... Max, Christabelle & Daphne drove all the way to Sunnybanks to eat at Little Taipei. Eat eat eat, then all 7 of us squeezed into Jared's car and he dropped us off 1 by 1. Haha! SX first, then DL, then Barry, then we drove home. Tonight they are bringing me clubbing. Haha! My virgin club experience. Vivian, Jared, Sue, Daph, Max, Christabelle & Damien... Ok, this is something to talk about abit...

I've never been able to differentiate a club & a pub. But from Friday night, the difference I got was that a club is somewhere people drink and dance. A pub is where ppl just drink and talk. Dance if u want but not many do. Yeah. So there was really loud thumping music blasting and everyone was moving to the same beat... There were some who really express themselves by doing cool smooth moves. There were those who are amateurs and they just do little movements & bop their heads & hips to the music. And then there're the wannabes who imitate the cool moves... realize I didn't say smooth? Coz they weren't at all. Haha! And then there's the attention seeker, who dance really wildly & kept stepping on ppl's feet (like Vivian's & mine). There was this especially "enthusiastic" guy who danced such big steps that there was a small clearing around him because he just kept stepping on ppl. Haha! And his head moved like a cock. No, it's not vulgar language... it's the male chinken. A cock. Yep, know how a cockadoo moves his head when he runs? That's how that guy was moving... and Vivian & I were like laughing our heads off! Haha! Damien came later and he's just there to drink & be merry with us. Yeah. It was really crowded in the first club (Down Under) and really hot. All of us were sweating profusely. So we got outta there and crossed the street to another place called Underground. It was wa-a-ay cooler here. But the beer was more expensive. Anyhow, we didn't really dance here... just sat & drank. And soon, it was time to go home. Haha! There, my virgin clubbing. Oh, did I mention that Vivian look really sexy? Haha! Tight dark blue jeans and a black tube, with high heels. Wooo! Compare that to flat slippers, large loose soccer jerseys and shorts. Haha! Oh wells... all in the name of fun!

Saturday morning, basketball! Haha! Barry & I arranged to meet at 8.30am while the rest made their way here at (supposedly) 9am. My bike's still with KMart, so I jogged from home to sch. Reached sch at 8.20am. Still early. SO I did some stretching... and then ran round the basketball court 20 times... 10 normal, 10 fast. Whoa! I've never ran like that for so long already can... And the time was 9am... and there's still no Barry. Nor anyone else. SX was supposed to reach by 9 too, so I SMSed her. And I was thinking what I could do... Chin-ups! Picked up my stuff, headed for the chin-up bars, and there was Barry, rushing his way to meet me! Haha! Turns out he missed the CityCat, so he had to wait so long. Ah wells... that's fine. Did 10 chin-ups only, then couldn't anymore. Haha! Went back to play ball. People started turning up slowly... and by 9.20? Everyone was here le. And we got into the game quick today. Play play play... soon it was like 12pm. Haha! They were saying to have lunch at Toowong's Two Wongs... but Vivian and I didn't wanna spend, so we went home to eat instant noodles with some vege. Jared & Sue joined us at home. Max & Daph & Christabelle were at Sunshine Coast. So yeah... everyone's going back sch to do work, so I tagged along to go study. Waited for DG to come by to pick us up... Vivian slept so soundly la... haha! Anyhow, abt 3+, DG came by with DL & Barry & SX. Vivian & I squeezed into the back seat. Study study study until it was like 10pm. Barry went home like 7 or 8 I think. So at 10pm, we haven't had dinner yet. DG drove us to Chinatown (aka The Valley), this place called CyberCity. We had dinner there... ate beef briskets and fried egg noodle. Then DG sent us all home.

Sunday! Church! Yay! Haha! Left home at 7.30am, managed to catch the train this time. Haha! So I took it to Fruitgrove, and Audrey was there to pick me up... service was bad. Kept nodding off... *guilty* But somehow I still managed to write some notes during the nodding. Haha! Weird... After church, Christian fetched me to Sunnybanks to wait for SX to buy the ingredients for making Cheng Tng. Haha! We were quite excited about it all... And while waiting, I went around the shops to look for the ingredients first. Couldn't find pandan leaves anywhere! And dried persimmons were SO expensive I forgoed (or is it forwent?) it. Looked for this pong4 dai3 hai4 in a chinese medical hall. Found out the chinese name to be peng2 da1 hai3. But it didn't look like anything that was found in Cheng Tng leh. So I called my mum to ask about it, and she said ya ya, correct. So I bought $3 worth, enough to make 3-6 servings whereby each serving serves 10ppl? Yep. SX came with Barry & DL & George (DL's brother), and we all ate at Little Taipei foodcourt again. Then DL & George went home coz DL wanted to go sch to do programming. So the 3 of us shopped for the ingredients and some groceries. Went back carrying lots of bags. Haha! SX wanted to go sch for 2h to test her programming. Barry too. So I got some of Barry's groceries and came home first. Prepared the cheng tng ingredients. The PDH was quite interesting. It's shaped like a rugby ball. Put it in water for an hour, and it fluffed up to some brown jelly-like thing that looked all too familiar to be in cheng tng. Haha! Anyways, waited for SX to come then we'll start cooking the cheng tng together. So meanwhile, somehow everyone got invited to our place for dinner. I bought like 1.8kg of chicken breast, and Vivian & Sue put in all the chicken lor. Haha! I was like, whu-u-ut?! Anyhow, dinner was curry. Easy to cook, serves many. Everyone was like 10ppl. DG stayed in sch to do programming so we da bao for him. After dinner, SX & Sue anxiously started on the cheng tng... haha! Didn't wait for me lor! Coz I was helping Jared with Max's leaking car. When I got back in the house to check the ingredients, hmm... I found out that someone (u know who u are) poured in the entire packet of barley! Haha! Which is too much la! Silly... haha! But nvm la. It's our first attempt. Cook cook cook... soon it was ready to drink. But served hot la... coz no time to cool. It was nice ok! Except the barley taste was too strong. Haha! All my fault, yes. Coz I added it all in... *shakes head* Hai... haha!

Finally get to drink some cheng tng. Yum! And the day was getting late, and they all went home.

Monday! Brought some leftover curry chinken & stir-fried some broccoli to SX's place for lunch. 2 dishes from me, 2 from her... sambal fish & carrot & radish soup. Combined, both of us had a really good meal. Haha! Meat, fish, veg, soup. Cool! Yeah... waited for her to do up some programming. By the time we went to sch, it was like 3+ le. Haha! Poor Damien crashed his HDD & was waiting in sch for me for some scenery photos from Sydney. Study study study... yada yada yada... 6pm! Barry & SX & I went to SX's place to get Jennifer & some other ingredients. Then we walked to Hawken Coles to buy some more groceries. Oh, by the way, Barry's making Tahu Telor tonight! Haha! So once more, everyone's coming to my place to eat! Haha! Plus Damien plus Jennifer... that makes 12. My place is like a party place! Haha! Got home, started preparing... ppl started coming, and it was really fun! All the cooking and stuff is just so fun! Haha! Again, we finished eating, washed up. I made more cheng tng from the leftover ingredients. No rock sugar, so I used normal white sugar. And it tasted different. Oh wells. Tonight I'm making cold one. Left the dessert out on the balcony to cool down. After dinner, Vivian & SX & I sat outside, talking & stirring the cheng tng to cool it quick. Then I put in 2 blocks of ice I made last night... and it was cold. Haha! Served everyone again. Yummy! Haha!

After everyone was full, we all just gathered in my room... Barry & Damien playing the PSP, DG & SX examining my chinese Bible. Haha! The rest just talking and stuff... Talk until like 12mn le, then we started to chase ppl away. Haha! Everyone was tired...

That night, 3am, I walked over to Shuxian's place. There has been some issues about us looking like a couple. Wah lau. Come on lor. She's got a boyfriend for 6yrs already can. And she's going back end of this sem... there's nothing that can happen between us except becoming really close friends. Anyways, we chatted the night away, had a really long talk till the next morning. It was full of laughs and reflections... really nice. Cooked instant noodles at 4, silently to not wake Jennifer. Then at about 7.30am, we had to leave house otherwise Jennifer would wake up & get such a shock when she saw me there. We walked to Toowong, wanting to buy some groceries & do a little bit of shopping. But when we reached there, pasted on the glass doors were:

So we walked around the vicinity, looking for a breakfast place... None to be found. Well, there is one, but it's charging an extra 15% coz it's Anzac Day. Xiao. So both of us decided to go to The Valley to get our groceries. It's 8.15am, and the next train that goes comes at 8.54am. Ok lor... we just sat in the train station to wait... talked about our values & stuff... principles etc... I really like chats like that. Some more I think we're both tired and all, (ok, at least for me) I'm able to talk quite openly about myself. Had Mac's breakfast, bought some chinken wings, went to Yuen's to get some sauces that were depleted. Then we headed home already. The time is about 11.

Walked SX home from Toowong Station, talked some more. I didn't know I could talk for so long lor. Haha! Anyways, our consensus is this: we think we're alright. We're not really that close in our eyes. So we're not really caring what the others say. Haha! Maybe sometimes if we get teased openly (like what Daphne did... grrr) we might even play along! Haha!

So yeah... we're clear now. I think I've been totally transparent with her. I like that. Makes me feel closer to someone. =)

Oh wells, that's it for yesterday. Today, I'll blog later. Haha! It's noon... and I'm hungry.

Wow, this is a long entry too eh? But not as long as the Sydney report. Haha!
